The Intrinsic Value of Currency

The intrinsic value of currency is based on the purchasing power of the currency. Purchases include more than material possessions, because purchases include anything of value, including art, entertainment, philosophy, etc. Knowledge is more valuable than material possessions, because, with knowledge, civilizations can be rebuilt, but one cannot rebuild destroyed civilizations, if all knowledge is destroyed.
